Justine Greening, the Conservative International Development Secretary, has today revealed she is in a same-sex relationship.

Her announcement follows that of David Mundell, who earlier this year came out as gay.

She has become the second ever openly queer Tory cabinet minister.

Today's a good day to say I'm in a happy same sex relationship, I campaigned for Stronger In but sometimes you're better off out! #Pride2016

She was congratulated by three openly gay MPs, Labour's Angela Eagle and Wes Streeting, as well as Conservative Foreign Affairs Committee chair Crispin Blunt.

Congratulations #Pride2016 https://t.co/OpTfMOhE3s

@JustineGreening congrats!

Greening chose the day when thousands of Londoners were celebrating LGBT Pride to make her announcement on Twitter.

It comes as David Cameron today sent a message to Pride-goers saying they should "come together in the shadow of the absolutely appalling attack in Orlando".
