A restaurant owner is sick and tired of members of the public leaving him scathing reviews on TripAdvisor, so he's decided to take matters into his own hands.
Waseem Ahmed, who owns Shimla Cottage Indian restaurant in Lanarkshrie, responds to negative comments on the reviewing site with insults of his own.
When one customer claimed he'd been served "cheap" food by waiters with "a bit of an attitude", Ahmed called the reviewer a "frivolous and vexatious complainer" and called his review "written excrement".
"Your lack of appreciation of the great job my waiting staff and experienced hardworking chefs perform day-in day-out is the 'big let down' for me," he added.
"As for the food it's anything but cheap, we use only the finest and freshest ingredients hence our popularity."
And that's just the start of Ahmed's sassy responses.
When another reviewer said his meal was "very poor", Ahmed responded by saying: "The only thing poor here was you. You were poor in manners. Poor in appreciating what your £27.00 got you, poor in knowledge of eating out, poor in your understanding of what a menu is and what quality actually is!
"You were unhappy as soon as you walked in."
According to the Metro, Ahmed has been responding to comments because he does not like the way the public can destroy businesses on TripAdvisor.
He said: "People think they can write anything they want and restaurants will hide under a blanket. We admit if we get it wrong and have always apologised when we do which you can see from other reviews.
"It’s a trend for people to just go on these sites and write negative things yet they were happy enough to eat the food when they’re here. Some people are downright rude and hostile and think it’s right to tarnish someone’s business."
