Singer Sinead O'Connor has been found "safe", police in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette said.
She had been reported as missing for more than a day in Chicago.
Police said they were "seeking to check the well-being" of the musician.
Sky News reported that Wilmette Police said: "The Wilmette Police is seeking to check the well-being of Sinead O’Connor.
"O'Connor reportedly left the Wilmette area for a bicycle ride yesterday at 6am and has not returned.
"A caller has expressed concern for her well-being and no other information is available at this time."
O'Connor hit the headlines recently when comedian Arsenio Hall said he was suing for alleging that he supplied drugs to Prince.
He strongly denied the claims.
O'Connor also posted a message on Facebook last Friday in which appeared to discuss the care of her son.
