Spice Girls Reunion Hits Another Snag, Following Claims Melanie C Is 'Planning To Sue'

'Mel has told the other girls she is consulting lawyers...'

The Spice Girls reunion could be about to spell some big trouble for the group’s three remaining members, as reports are claiming that Melanie C could be about to launch a lawsuit.

After months of endless speculation, Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton confirmed in July that they are getting back together, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the group’s debut single, ‘Wannabe’.

And I say oohhhh LALA

It isn’t yet known exactly what their reunion will entail, such as whether that includes live performances or new material, as at the moment all we have is a new website naming them as ‘Spice Girls GEM’.

And while the band initially insisted that ‘GEM’ was only the name of their website, and not the group, it seems they might want to think twice about that, as Melanie C is reportedly planning to sue should they reunite under their original name.

Last year, it was claimed that the group would be reuniting as a four-piece without Victoria Beckham to commemorate the anniversary, before Melanie C was also claimed to have dropped out of the project.

While Geri and Emma have so far kept quiet about the group’s plans, Mel B has been a bit more vocal, confirming reports that they’d been in the studio together and later insisting: “We are always going to be Spice Girls. We are definitely going to be doing some concerts.”
