About Carol Kirkwood
As BBC Breakfast's resident weather presenter, Carol Kirkwood brings a ray of sunshine to the mornings of the nation every day. The Scottish star joined the BBC in 1998, having completed her training with the Met Office. She began forecasting the weather on a variety of programmes across BBC TV and radio, before landing her biggest gig on 'BBC Breakfast', as the main forecaster. When the programme moved to Salford Quays in Manchester in 2013, Carol remained in London, presenting her segments via video link. In 2015, she appeared on the 13th series of 'Strictly Come Dancing', partnering Pasha Kovalev. The couple were eliminated in week eight of the competition. Carol has also presented series 'The Great British Weather' and appears as a regular reporter on 'The One Show'.
