The Australian actor and co-star Sandra Bullock had both been tipped to appear in a follow-up to the cult fantasy drama.

"My heart is broken for Sandy," the actor said of her longtime friend, whose partner Bryan Randall died over the weekend.
The model and photographer died on Saturday after battling ALS.
