Phoenix Jones, a self-fashioned superhero, was unmasked in a Seattle court following allegations of a pepper spray attack.
Jones – real name Benjamin Fodor - is the leader of Seattle’s Rain City Superhero movement.
The 23-year-old attended court in a shirt, which he tore off to reveal a yellow and black outfit featuring stab plating and a bulletproof vest.
According to police, Jones attacked four people outside a nightclub, however the superhero insists he was breaking up a fight.

Prosecutors have yet to decide whether to file charges.
Despite his court appearance, Jones vowed to continue fighting crime.
"I am just like everybody else. The only difference is that I try to stop crime in my neighbourhood," he told the Seattle Times.
