Johnny Robinson has denied claims that his banter with X Factor judge Gary Barlow is scripted.
The duo have engaged in some humorous conversation, with the camp singer inviting the Take That star to "rub his lamp".
But Johnny said: "They are not scripted, not at all. Absolutely not. They are just me answering back how I would answer back."
The 45-year-old hopeful - who has impressed audiences with his renditions of The Darkness' I Believe In A Thing Called Love and Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out Of My Head - admitted he does have a crush on Gary, despite the chart-topping star being married with children.
"Oh yes, who doesn't? He's a good-looking man, but he's married unfortunately," Johnny continued.
"He's out of the question, isn't he? But then again I always say, 'Don't be shy, give it a try!'"
