Carole Caplin, Cherie Blair's former lifestyle guru, has won her defamation claim against the Daily Mail after it falsely accused her of wanting to sell the Blairs' "sex secrets".
Caplin, 49, who described the story as "damaging and wrong" has been awarded "substantial" damages at the High Court.
The lifestyle consultant, who worked with ex-Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, has also said she was told by police that her mobile phone messages were hacked by a private investigator working for the News of the World.
Caplin who runs Cool Health Ltd, was said to be deciding what "further action" to take after being told that messages dating from 2002 had been hacked by Glenn Mulcaire.
A spokeswoman for Caplin gave details of hacking allegations after she appeared at court to hear a lawyer outline details of the settlement of a libel action against the Daily Mail newspaper.
"Ms Caplin has recently been notified by the team from Metropolitan Police service's Operation Weeting that her mobile phone messages were hacked by Glenn Mulcaire whilst he was working for the News of The World," said Ms Caplin's spokeswoman.
"Dating from 2002, Ms Caplin's is one of the earliest cases so far discovered and the police investigation has yet to uncover all the available evidence.
"Once she is able to establish the extent of this invasion of her privacy, Ms Caplin will decide what further action to take."
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said he was unable to comment.
A spokeswoman for News International, which published the NotW, said: "We cannot comment on individual cases."
