Russia has announced its presidential election will be held on 4 March, and former president Vladimir Putin's chances of being swept back into power can only have been helped by a video of incumbent president Dmitry Medvedev dancing.
Putin has spent his time out of the top job burnishing his credentials as a strong man, with a series of photo shoots showing him engaging in masculine pursuits including hunting whales, swimming in Siberia and riding horses shirtless in the mountains.
Many of these photo opportunities have taken place with his main opponent, incumbent Dmitry Medvedev, by his side.

However Medvedev's latest publicity stunt, slow dancing (badly), may not help him catch up with Putin in the manliness stakes.
