Combine the world's most beautiful women, an internationally renowned fashion photographer and the rugged Corsican coastline and what you get? The 2012 Pirelli Calendar and a whole lot of artistic nudity.
Shot by Mario Sorrenti and true to the photographer's sultry style, the 2012 calendar is entitled Swoon. Sorrenti managed to persuade the likes of Kate Moss, Lara Stone and Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, Saskia de Brauw, Joan Smalls, Guinevere van Seenus, Edita Vilkeviciute, and Milla Jovovich, and actresses Margareth Made and Rinko Kikuchi to pose au naturel for him - and we have to admit that the results are simply stunning.
Now in its 39th edition, Sorrenti is (shockingly) the first Italian photographer to be commissioned by the Italian motor company. Over the past four decades Pirelli has enlisted creative talents including the likes of Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts, Arthur Elgort, Patrick Demarchelier, Bruce Weber, Mario Testino, Nick Knight and Karl Lagerfeld to shoot the cult calendar.
