The Peer who became infamous for flicking the V-sign at a colleague has spoken out, saying she believed he had "gone too far".
Baroness Trumpington said she swore at Lord King after he suggested veterans of WWII were starting to look old.
"I thought to 'hell with that'. It was just meant to be between him and me.
"I did actually raise two fingers and I tried to pretend my hand had slipped but it was going to be quite obvious that my hand had not slipped and I meant it," she told BBC Parliament.
But it's OK now, because the two are "jolly good friends".
The Conservative Peer and former Bletchley Park codemaker said the two remained "jolly good friends".
And she even took the time to explain what she wanted for Christmas, adding: "Anything that makes my little garden pretty would be on my Christmas list very high. But on the whole, I don't really want anything. I'm a very lucky person to have two splendid grandchildren and a jolly nice son and daughter-in-law. What more could you ask for?"
