Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has revealed his relationship with his parents suffered after they became frightened of him when he was intoxicated.
Last year, wizard actor Daniel revealed he gave up booze when he felt he became too reliant on alcohol to have a good time.
However, the star has admitted his relationship with his parents is much better now he does not drink heavily.
Speaking to Telegraph magazine, he said: "It's lovely. I barely think about it, and I've got the most fantastic relationship back with my parents because they were worried about me. They found it hard to talk to me because they were so frightened."
Speaking to GQabout his issues previously, Daniel said: "I became so reliant on alcohol to enjoy stuff.
"There were a few years there when I was just so enamoured with the idea of living some sort of famous person's lifestyle that really isn't suited to me."
However, the Hollywood actor admits he enjoys a quiet life now after originally giving up drink in 2010.
Speaking to The Guardian about his choice recently, he said: "There's no shame in enjoying a quiet life. And that's been the realisation of the past few years for me."
Daniel also spoke to Telegraph magazine about the professional relationship he enjoys with his parents. He has enlisted the help of his mum to look after his property in New York, London and Australia.
He said: "My mum handles all that. Occasionally she'll say, 'We're being told to invest in stamps. Apparently stamps are going to be worth loads in 10 years. Do I do that?' And I go, 'Yeah!"
