Dancing On Ice: Charlene Tilton Voted Off After Losing Out To Sam Nixon

Dancing On Ice: Dallas Star Hangs Up Her Skates

Dallas star Charlene Tilton has finally been voted off Dancing On Ice after she lost a skate-off against children's TV presenter Sam Nixon.

Tilton said on this week's show: "Hi, it's me, Suzy Skate-off. My goal this week is not to end up in the skate-off."

However she did so after judges' votes combined with the opinions of the public placed her in the bottom two again in the ITV1 show, and this time she was headed for the exit.

Judges Robin Cousins, Katarina Witt and Louie Spence all decided to save Nixon and his partner Alexandra Schauman rather than Tilton and Matthew Gonzalez, preferring Nixon and Schauman's dance to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go to Tilton and Gonzalez's Poker Face.

Tilton said afterwards: "I feel all right. I've had the most amazing experience. I've worked with the best wardrobe, hair and make up department I've ever worked with."

Highest score from the judges on a pop-themed evening went to Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter, with her partner Matt Evers, who were awarded 24 points out of a possible 30 for their dance to Britney Spears' Baby One More Time. Porter dressed Spears-style as a schoolgirl and said afterwards: "I was whooping as I was doing it."

Cousins told her: "You encapsulated the role throughout the whole routine." And Spence said: "You gave it elegance, you gave it grace, but you also gave it finesse there."

Next best judges' score was 23, to Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden and his partner Nina Ulanova. Wolfenden shook off troubles with a painful back to impress with his dancing to The Look of Love by ABC.

Spence, referring to the lyrics of the song, said: "It doesn't take a lot to love you, Matt."

Cousins told him: "You did more than anyone else is going to do tonight, technically."
