The Long Keats Goodnight: Twitter Gets Literary With #poetfilms Hash Tag

Generally speaking, hash tags that trend on Twitter serve as chilling reminders that not everyone using the site are as caustic, witty or brilliant as the people you choose to follow.

Usually they are the playground of the 'Beliebers' or the 'Little Monsters' or whatever other subgroups make up Twitter's millions of global users - usually, but not always.

Today HuffPost Culture's morning was brightened up no end to discover #poetfilms, a hash tag that, like many before it, offered up an irresistible opportunity to simultaneously show off your pop culture knowledge, dimly-remembered university degree and punning prowess in one, time-wasting swoop.

From the truly inspired to the truly awful, #poetfilms attracted hundreds of Tweets from people inserting (or in some case, wedging with a hammer) names of famous poets into titles of films.

A literary hash tag? A poetry hash tag no less? We couldn't resist joining in and rounding up 15 of our favourites for those of you who missed it....
