Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue returned to the Sydney Mardi Gras parade on Saturday for the first time in 14 years to celebrate her 25th anniversary in the music industry.
The Spinning Around hitmaker was the guest of honour at the gay spectacular this weekend as she sang and danced her way through the streets on her very own K25 float on the last day of the annual event.
And Minogue was blown away by the outpouring of support from more than 300,000 fans who came out to party in the rain.
In a series of Twitter.com posts after the event, she wrote: "Happy Mardi Gras. Love, love and LOVE!!!
"Still simply cannot believe the amount of people who were in or helped create the K25 float.
#shouldbesleepingbynow... THANK YOU @SydneyMardiGras & Mardigrasland... YOU were amazing... I am #happytiredwiredrelievedamazedgrateful.
"That. was. epic. Thank you to everyone who participated in the K25 Mardi Gras floats....#incredible."
The singer also hit the stage at the Mardi Gras afterparty at the Hordern Pavilion, where she donned a specially-created gold headdress by London milliner Stephen Jones.
Minogue last appeared at Mardi Gras in 1998.
