Eldhús, Iceland's little house of food started its 12 day culinary tour of Iceland on Wednesday (7th March) and its first stop was Reykjavik Pond. We don't mean near Reykjavik pond but actually on it!

The local volunteer cooking for the guests was Bjarni, head chef at Harpa's restaurant. He cooked up a feast of salted cod fish, tongues and cheeks, which may not sound like the most appetising of meals to some of the less adventurous out there - but it went down well with our Spanish guests! They told us that salted cod fish is traditionally eaten on Christmas eve in Spain thought the dish was delicious and loved the freshness of the fish.
