Local volunteer Þorgerður Guðmundsdóttir chose to cook our guests a delicious meat soup from a recipe passed down by her grandmother. She even knew the recipe off by heart, preparing the food in her own kitchen with a beautiful view of the Eyjafjöll mountains. Our guests for the evening were Iceland veterans Horst and Beate and Londoner Sagi with his friend Itay. Our surprise guest Lárus entertained everyone inside Eldhús with amazing Icelandic stories as everyone enjoyed the food under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Þorgerður surprised the guests with fermented shark and Brennivín- a strong Icelandic liquor which everyone was brave enough to try!
