A student accused of posting racist remarks about Fabrice Muamba has admitted making racially offensive comments on Twitter.
Liam Stacey has been released on bail and is due to be sentenced on 27 March. He was said to be close to tears in court as he heard he could be jailed for the offensive message on the social networking site.
The 21-year-old appeared at Swansea Crown on Monday court after being arrested on Sunday for 'trolling'.
He told the police he had been drunk when he made the remarks, saying: "I'm not racist and some of my friends are from different cultural backgrounds."
Under his bail conditions, Stacey is not allowed to use Twitter.
Thousands of well-wishers have expressed their sympathy since the tragic incident during yesterday's early evening match.
Today a steady stream of fans visited the club's Reebok Stadium home to place flowers, shirts and other tributes at the ground.
