A base jumper has admitted leaping from the top of The Shard four times, raising further questions about security around London’s latest landmark.
Dan Witchalls climbed the huge tower, having slipped past a sleeping security guard, and recorded his jump via a camera strapped to his helmet.
The 46-year-old is the latest “adventurer” to scale the 1017ft construction, which has reportedly been topped dozens of times by thrill-seekers and “urban explorers”.
Speaking to The Sun, Witchalls warned: “Imagine a bomb the size of my backpack full of explosives. A thousand feet up it would do some damage.”
However, Dan, from Essex, admitted: “When I heard it was being built, I thought, ‘I must give that a go’.”
The Shard is Europe's tallest building at 1,017ft.
