APPRENTICE PREVIEW: Grafting For Graffiti

A video message from Lord Sugar to the candidates stuck in the bowels of Waterloo Station informs them of this week's task - to choose two urban artists each to represent and exhibit in a gallery. Yes, they're going to banking on another Banksy.

Tom and Gabrielle are this week's team leaders, and both teams are tempted by one artist Pure Evil. He opts for Gabrielle's enthusiastic approach, leaving Tom thinking he's lost before he's begun.

Some choice moments...

Tom's despair at losing Pure Evil: "At the end of the day, having expertise and having knowledge and rapport with people obviously counts for nothing."

Adam's in depth analysis of Banksy: “Tom said that no one knows Banksy’s identity... he’s like The Stig isn’t he?”

Adam's approach to art: “One of the questions we were asked today was, “which medium does he use?” Now a medium to me is someone who is used to contact the other side.”

Gabrielle's view on artist Nathan Bowen: “Nathan seems to be the ideal candidate to do our pitch to the gin distillery because he’s very much into London.”

Nick's differs: “I wouldn’t pay for that."

Karren Brady's view on one team's treatment of the corporate client: "A complete and utter ridiculous chain of events.”

The Apprentice is on Wednesday at 9pm, BBC1. This week's candidates in action...
