Ashleigh and her dancing dog Pudsey may have won this year's Britain's Got Talent final, but they weren't the only stars to be born on Saturday night's show.
Besides BGT's most-successful alumna Susan Boyle and dance troupe Diversity making their impressive returns to the stage, there were also cracking performances from the likes of Irish balladeer Ryan O'Shaugnessy.
He - to coin a Simon Cowell phrase - "sounded like a recording artist" and his beautiful own track No Name received a standing ovation from the judges. "I think that is the most emotional performance we've ever seen," praised David. "I've come to respect you as a song writer," congratulated Simon.
And singers Jonathan and Charlotte, the bookies' favourite to win the contest, could quite easily have taken the top prize if it wasn't for the nation's fondness for cute dogs.
They gave another incredible performance that I could happily watch again and again. David claimed: "It was so classy, it was so heartfelt, it was so professional." It's hard to believe the friends are only 16 and 17 years old.
Here's a round-up of the best of the rest...
Boyband The Mend were brought back into the contest as the 'wildcard' act and kicked off the show with an energetic version of Usher's Without You. Alesha gushed: "You're the full package, you look great." Simon said: "You're current but you're not too cool for school."
Next, breaking hearts across the UK, Sam Kelly sang a beautiful acoustic version of one of his favourite songs - Rascal Flatt's Bless the Broken Road. David said: "You had us all in the palms of your hands." And Alesha agreed: "That was just gorgeous, your vocals are so smooth." Simon called it Sam's "best performance of the whole competition".
Like something out of a Missy Elliot music video, dance troupe Nu Sxool brought buckets full of attitude and personality to their final performance. "I want to be in Nu Sxool," cried David. "You guys attacked that hard," praised Alesha. "You might be my favourite ever contestants," said Simon, sending the school kids into a screaming meltdown.
More from Britain's Got Talent:
At just 11 years old, Molly Rainford sounded like a powerful grown woman with her rendition of Ave Maria. "You've left me speechless," cried Amanda. "You've just thrown a bomb under the whole competition right now," said Simon. Molly responded: "It's like a dream come true."
Performing their own track Honest, cheeky chaps the Loveable Rogues proved they don't follow the crowd. "I love the original song," said Alesha. "You're not like someone taking part in a competition, you're like someone who's already made it… I predict great things for you," praised Simon. What group wouldn't want to hear that from the music mogul?
Latin American dancers Kai & Natalia's fun and flirty dance to Bruno Mars' Runaway Baby got mixed reactions. Former Strictly judge Alesha said: "To me it was a little disjointed." But praise was given to Natalia for performing through the pain of a leg injury.
Synchronised swimmers Aquabatique gave a patriotic performance behind a big GB flag as they splashed about in their pool. Synchronised yes, but breathtaking no. David said: "I didn't love it quite as much as I did the other night." But Amanda "completely disagreed", while Simon asked viewers to get behind the girls.
Welsh angelic male voice choir Only Boys Aloud sang their hearts out to Calon Lan. "That was sensational," gushed David. "I commend you all," added Alesha. Simon called their performance "the best of the night".
But they weren't a dancing dog...
