Time-lapse videos of the Earth, space, the universe and all the night sky's infinite glory are, well, becoming quite common online.
As a result despite the exotic subject matter it takes quite a bit for one to stand out.
Like, for instance, the entire Milky Way soaring above Lake Tekapo in New Zealand? Yeah, okay, that's pretty special.
The footage in question was captured over an entire evening by Fraser Gunn, an astrophotographer at Canterbury University, NZ and the Mt John Observatory.
