Kieron Dyer has signed a new one-year deal with Queens Park Rangers, despite playing just once for the club last season.
Dyer, 33, started the Rs' opening day clash at home to Bolton Wanderers, but lasted only seven minutes after suffering a foot injury.
The one-time England international has cost £12.5m in transfer fees between four clubs, but has long been regarded as a "sicknote" player.
