Chris Brown, Drake Fight: New York Nightclub Closed After Brawl

The club where the alleged fight between Chris Brown and Drake took place has been closed down.

The New York Police Department confirmed that the W.i.P basement club in New York City has been shut due to unspecified "code violations".

A spokesperson for the NYPD said: "They were closed indefinitely until they clear up the violations."

New pictures showing both the rappers partying at the club last Wednesday have now emerged online.

They show Chris and Drake enjoying the night with their entourages before the chaos started.

Photos of the aftermath of the alleged fight - believed to have been over Rihanna, who Chris and Drake have both dated in the past - surfaced last week, showing the inside of the club strewn with broken glass.

On Friday, a spokesperson for the W.i.P club told MTV News that they had turned over video footage to police for investigation.

TMZ has since reported that Chris has now spoken to the NYPD and given them the "physical evidence" they need to prove Drake was involved in the fight.

However, in a statement issued last week, Drake denied being part of the brawl.

His reps said: "He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."

Trouble is said to have started after Drake returned a bottle of champagne that Chris Brown had sent over to his rival's table with a note referring to his ex, Rihanna that apparently read: "I'm f****** the love of your life, deal with it".

The pair then allegedly squared up to each other, fists flew and then "all hell broke loose".

A source told the New York Post: "They were on opposite sides of the room, Drake went over to the middle of the club to talk to someone, then words were exchanged with Chris and his entourage."

The source said someone from Drake's entourage then threw a bottle.

"Once the bottle was thrown, all hell broke loose and there were more bottles thrown," the source said.

A spokesman for Chris Brown released a statement saying the star and his friends were the victims of a "brutal attack".
