An enormous collection of mint-condition video games has sold for £838,000 on eBay.
The huge cache of retro video games includes every title ever released for the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Master System and Sega Megadrive.
In all 22 sets of complete hardware and games were offered - €999,999 the lot.
It included the complete set of Super Famicom (Super Nintendo) games, which totals around 1,500 releases including those only sold in Japan.
More than 500 of the Nintendo games were 'brand new' - meaning factory-sealed, perfect condition games.
The collection also included:
- Nintendo 64 and complete set of 200 games, with instructions
- Nintendo Gamecube, factory sealed with 320 games
- Sega Master System with all games (around 300 titles)
- Sega Megadrive and all games (450)
- Sega 32X with all 19 games, in box with instructions
- Sega Mega CD with 115 games
- Sega Saturn With 1150 games
- Sega Dreamcast with 550 games
The user who listed the collection said he had sometimes held up to 20 copies of each game, and had kept "the best of the best" for himself.
"I had dozens of thousands of copies of those games in hands during the last 20 years, and i only kept, each time, the VERY BEST copies for my personal collection, so you can be certain you'd get the best condition possible," he said.
"As an example, for the PC Engine factory sealed fullset, i got sometimes more than 50 copies for a precise title, and i kept the BEST one out of the 50 for myself. "
"That gives you an idea of the mintiness of such collection. You get the best of the best."
He added in response to a user's question: " I hope i don't regret it."
Now the collection has been sold. Though we hope the lucky winner didn't save up exactly £838k for the collection - it also includes €1,000 delivery charge.
