'X Factor': Mel B Offered Full-Time Judging Job On 2013 UK Show?

Could Mel B Become A Full-Time 'X Factor' Judge?

Mel B reportedly made such an impression on X Factor bosses when she appeared as a guest judge on Saturday's series opener that they want to secure her for a full-time role.

The Sun claims Scary Spice was too busy filming the show in Australia when producers were first looking for a new judge for this series, so they signed Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, to join Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow, instead.

They are apparently now making an effort to scure Mel for 2013, but she would have to quit her job Down Under.

Mel B received mixed-reactions from viewers when she was seen dismissing almost every contestant during the Manchester auditions, with some claiming she was too harsh.

Including, former-TOWIE star Amy Childs, who tweeted:

"You are either going to love her or hate her, but we love her," said Tulisa at the press launch for series nine of the X Factor.

The outspoken singer's opinions gave Simon Cowell's quips a run for their money as she terrified the hopefuls at the Manchester auditions.

Living up to her 'Scary' nickname, here are just a selection of the brutally honest quotes that came out of her mouth while she gave feedback to the acts:

  • "I've had more fun watching paint dry"
  • "You look like a popstar, but you don't sound like one"
  • "There was nothing right about that at all"
  • "I actually wanted to fall asleep"
  • "I found it irritating"

One shy X Factor hopeful from Saturday's show, Curtis Golden, has admitted he is still struggling to come to terms with Mel B's hurtful comments.
