Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it TV fitness guru the Green Goddess sporting a radical new look? No, it's Wheel Clamp Man!
The real-life superhero has been lending a helping hand to motorists in Perth, Western Australia, by using his trusty angle grinder to remove wheel clamps, so they can drive off without paying the $135 (approximately £88) fine.
However, Clampy (as we've just decided to nickname him) does ask grateful drivers to hand over a small contribution, which he then passes on to a homeless charity.
The Clampster (we grew tired of 'Clampy') told Perth-based newspaper The Sunday Times, who tracked him down at the weekend: "I'm taking an ethical stance. I'm helping people out. I don't feel I'm damaging property."
Funnily enough, the police take a very different view of his actions. "He is committing the offence of criminal damage and if people have any info, they should contact Crime Stoppers," a po-faced copper told the newspaper. (Yeah, good luck with that, mate!)
The true identity of Clampo (sorry - 'The Clampster' wasn't cutting it either) is yet to be revealed. So for now, he's sticking to his disguise of green Lycra bodysuit, red cape, rainbow-striped socks, helmet, eye mask and comedy moustache.
Ah yes. That's the kind of blend-into-the-background outfit that's guaranteed to help you give the police the slip, isn't it? No wonder they can't find him!
