The on-going war of pop words between Madonna and Lady Gaga has taken an unexpected turn as Madge has seemingly held out an olive branch to her rival.
But of course, she couldn't resist one last dig at Gaga.
As Madonna performed at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City over the weekend, she finally offered up some kind words (laced with a tinge of sarcasm, obvs), insisting she "loves" the Poker Face singer.
"I'm going to dedicate this next song…to Lady Gaga," Madonna announced before performing Masterpiece.
"You wanna know something? I love her. I love her. I do love her. Imitation is the highest form of flattery."
OUCH!
She continued: "But one day, very soon, we're going to be on stage together. Just you wait. You think I'm kidding? I love Lady Gaga."
Most recently during one of her shows on her world tour, Gaga confronted Madonna's earlier comments that she had copied her track Express Yourself when she wrote Born This Way.
"It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down or make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work," she said.
Elton John then waded into the argument, branding Magde a "c**t*" and a "fairground stripper" who had been "so horrible to Gaga" during a TV rant last month.
