In a distinguished career that has spanned over 50 years, Michael Fish's most memorable moment was also his most notorious.
On the 15th October 1987, Fish said during a routine weather broadcast: "Earlier on today a woman rang the BBC to say she'd heard there was a hurricane on the way.
"Well, if you're watching, don't worry there isn't."
Fish has never lived the incident down and in attempt to right his wrongs he has recorded a special 25th anniversary version of the forecast where he miraculously gets it right.
At the end of the forecast, Fish exits the screen muttering: "Well, that could have been embarrassing."
Quite what the relatives of those who died will make of the whimsical tribute remains to be seen...
