'X Factor' Results: Gary Barlow Sends Jade Ellis Home After Sing-Off With Union J

X FACTOR: Gary Sends Tulisa's Act Home

'X Factor' contestant Jade Ellis has become the fourth act to leave the show, after Gary Barlow chose to send her home.

Jade, one of Tulisa's acts, was in a sing-off against Louis Walsh's boyband Union J.

On hearing the result, she said: "It's been an amazing experience... my life starts from today."

Tulisa added: "Maybe I should have brought my ballads out of the bag for Jade" and predicted "big things" for the singer.

Underrated act Jade gave a beautiful and powerful performance of Dido's 'White Flag' in the sing-off, while Union J sang a mediocre rendition of Pink's 'Perfect'.

Making the decision to send Jade home, Gary explained: "Jade, you are a phenomenal vocalist, but I wonder if I want this for you more than you want it."

Gary was overjoyed that his two remaining acts, Kye Sones and Christopher Maloney, made it through without a hitch, after rumours this week suggested Simon Cowell was plotting to get Christopher off the show because he thinks he detracts from the modern, fashionable edge that he craves for it.

Earlier on Sunday's results episode, Gary's Take That co-star Robbie Williams performed his new single 'Candy' and gave Louis Walsh his second lap dance of the series. Robbie confessed to liking Rylan and told his mate Gary to "lighten up".

And of course the 'X Factor' didn't go a whole weekend without any drama... on Saturday night's show, things turned personal between the judges when Gary accused Tulisa Contostavlos of having "fag ash breath".

The comments came after Christopher's performance when Tulisa criticised Gary for the song he had chosen for his act.

She said: "You do the same thing over and over again with him and it's not working."

Gary replied: "Tulisa, I don't know what's offended me more - what you said or the fag ash breath."

Moments later Tulisa interrupted host Dermot O'Leary and said: "Just a note for Gary - lay off the red wine because I can really smell that as well."
