According to an interview with China Newsweek, Liu's granddaughter discovered her grandfather's modelling credentials almost accidentally.
“He picked up one piece and tried to give some advice on how to mix and match. We thought it was fun so we started shooting,” she explained.
Liu is proof that age ain't nothing but a number when it comes to style. His pouty poses join fashion royalty Carmen Dell'Orefice, who graced New York Fashion Week this year at 81, and the wardrobe eccentricity of 91-year-old Iris Apfel who features in Ari Seth Cohen's Advanced Style blog and documentary.
