Will Smith became the Fresh Prince of Brixton on Thursday morning as the US actor went on a walkabout with former culture secretary Tessa Jowell and shadow business secretary Chuka Umunna,
The Bad Boyz Hollywood star, known for his starring roles in Men in Black, Independence Day and I am Legend met with the Labour MP for Dulwich and West Norwood and the MP for Streatham to take a tour of the local area, which covers both their constituencies.
His appearance in South London alongside two Labour MPs seemed to mystify most people. Smith is currently filming After Earth, with the nearest shoot location in Switzerland.
However his son Jaden Smith is on tour with Justin Bieber in London, with the show hitting the headlines this week after the Canadian popstar's late appearance. Tessa Jowell's office told the Huffington Post UK that Smith had contacted Umunna because he wanted to visit Brixton. Smith will visit a school there later, along with the director of the Black Cultural Archive.
