Bradford Batman's 'Capture' To Be Brought Before Magistrates

A man who was brought into a police station by a figure dressed as Batman is due before magistrates on Friday.

Pictures of Daniel Frayne apparently being handed over to officers at Bradford's Trafalgar House police station went around the world earlier this week.

The Caped Crusader was later revealed to be Frayne's friend - Chinese takeaway delivery driver Stan Worby, 39.

Mr Worby had gone with Frayne to the police station after he got back from Bradford City's unsuccessful attempt to win the Capital One Cup Final at Wembley, nearly a fortnight ago.

He was captured on CCTV in the reception of the building wearing his full 1960s-style Batman outfit.

Mr Worby said later he was "gobsmacked" by the coverage the pictures received.

Frayne, 27, of Queen Street, Buttershaw, Bradford, was arrested in connection with a number of matters and later charged with handling stolen goods and fraud-related offences.

He is due to appear before Bradford Magistrates' Court on Friday.
