A-list nightclub The Box has announced it will make its UK festival debut at Wilderness in August.
The exclusive London house of carnal cool, renowned for its brand of innovative live theatrical performance and visited by the likes of Kate Moss and Prince Harry, will be joining the festival’s Late Night Revelry line-up for an evening of decadence and debauchery.
Famed for its closed-door policy, The Box will take over Wilderness's Secret Valley area.
Events Director of The Box, Sophie Moss, said: “We are delighted to be joining forces with Wilderness Festival. We have decided to venture into the wild for the first time to give more people the opportunity to truly experience an evening that they will never forget.”
Festival organisers Tim Harvey, Jim Whewell and Jo Vidler commented: “Not since the infamous days of 1970s New York has a club captured the nocturnal imagination of the great and the bad. The Box have firmly established themselves as the most fun night in town. We cannot wait.”
Wilderness will return for a third year, set against the backdrop of Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire, on 8-11 August.
This year’s line-up includes Empire of The Sun (UK festival exclusive), Noah and the Whale, Rodriguez, Michael Kiwanuka, Tom Odell, Ghostpoet, Tribes, Matt Corby, Lucy Rose, King Krule, Melody's Echo Chamber and other visionaries in music, food, theatre and the literary arts.
