A ship carrying undeclared weapons to North Korea has been detained in the Panama Canal.
The weapons, reportedly hidden in containers of brown sugar, were spotted when the ship was stopped on suspicion of carrying drugs.
Panama's President, Ricardo Martinelli, said the ship - which had come from Cuba - was carrying "sophisticated missile equipment".

The ship was stopped near Manzanillo on the Atlantic side of the Panama canal.
All 35 crew members have been detained and the Panamanian president said the captain tried to kill himself during the search.
International weapons sanctions ban North Korea from importing all but small arms, and from exporting any weaponry.
