VMA AWARDS: Taylor Caught On Camera Telling One Direction To 'Shut The F*** Up'

One Direction may be the biggest boy band in the world right now, but there's one person who is evidently unimpressed.

Taylor Swift, the golden girl of pop who went out with Harry Styles earlier this year, was caught on camera last night at the VMA Awards, when One Direction took to the stage to present an award.

Swift, with Selena Gomez at her side in the audience, was clearly caught on camera mouthing "Shut the f*** up" when One Direction took turns to speak.

Harry, whose relationship with Swift made her the target of some Twitter abuse from One Direction fans, has recently said he fully expects to be the subject of one of Swift's songs, which are famously about her relationships, particularly when they fail.

One Direction enjoyed a more favourable reception last night from Lady Gaga, here posing with the boys

The One Directioner - who split with the '22' singer in January after a brief romance - told Us Weekly: "It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn't do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experience.

"I can't say I'd have dated someone less famous to avoid it."

He also denied was worried about the prospect of the song, joking: "At least she's a great songwriter!"

Earlier in the evening, Swift thanked SOMEONE for inspiring her song 'I Knew You Were Trouble', which won her Best Female Video. Picking up her astronaut gong, she said, "That person knows exactly who he is, and now I have one of these."

Swift doesn't limit her power of expression to song lyrics, it seems. She was caught on camera backstage at a previous awards ceremony, pulling a gagging facial expression when she saw her friend Selena Gomez chatting with Justin Bieber.

Taylor Swift and One Direction shared honours last night, each taking home one award. Does that mean they're even?
