Dannii Minogue couldn't hold back her tears on 'The X Factor Australia' following the death of her grandmother.
The judge - who previously served as a panellist on the UK version for four series - lost her beloved grandparent in recent weeks, and became overwhelmed with emotion after her contestant Dami Im performed Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.

Dannii had to be comforted by her fellow judges, Ronan Keating, former 'Neighbours' star Natalie Bassingthwaighte and LMFAO's Redfoo.
"I had the roughest week ever," she said. "That was for my parents and my grandfather, that song tonight. I've had the toughest time."
She told her protégé: "You have been my absolute angel and for anyone else out there who ever had a tough time that is the song, you need to connect the energy of the song."

It is believed Dannii's grandmother died following a battle with cancer.
She also posted a photo with Dami on her Tumblr page, paying tribute to the hopeful for helping her dedicate the performance to her loved ones.
"Dami’s song this week, Bridge Over Troubled Water, was for anyone going through a tough time or anyone who needs to feel a little hope," she wrote.

"Dami helped me dedicate this performance tonight to my family and my beautiful Grandmother who just recently passed away."
Earlier this week, Sharon Osbourne claimed that Dannii was 'very dark' and became 'intolerable to work with' during their time on the UK 'X Factor' together in 2007, when Dannii was growing close to Simon Cowell.
