In what has to be a contender for letter of the year, this handwritten note was penned by a distraught grandfather after his daughter had thrown out her son after he came out as gay. The grandfather writes: "Kicking Chad out of your home simply because he told you he was gay is the real abomination," adding that a parent disowning their child is "what really goes against nature".
Unfortunately, the details surrounding why the mother threw out her gay son is not directly addressed, but the passionate missive is replete with hints. Fortunately for the young man, he seems to have a wonderful grandfather happy to take in his "fabulous" grandson.
The letter continues: "He was born this way and didn't choose it more than he being left-handed... You, however, have made a choice of being hateful, narrow-minded and backward. So while we are in the business of disowning children, I think I'll take this moment to say goodbye to you. I now have a fabulous (as the gay [sic] put it) grandson to raise..."
