One of the big downsides of being in the public eye is that mischief-makers will gossip and spread rumours about you. Such a fate has befallen Manchester United's new footballing whizz-kid Wilfried Zaha, who has been forced to deny he's had an affair with his boss's daughter after the internet starting buzzing with the absurd suggestion.
Gossip-mongers went on Twitter to speculate about the reason why the 20-year-old striker had been dropped by new manager David Moyes from the United squad for the European Champions League tie against Shaktar Donetsk in the Ukraine.
The £15million star responded by rubbishing 'silly rumours' about an alleged relationship between him and Lauren Moyes, 19.
Lauren had been trending on Twitter and has since deleted her account because of the mischievous claims.
Before the Champions League match Zaha wrote: 'Silly rumours. #childish', which has now been retweeted more than 1,600 times.
His agent told the Daily Star claims he was having an affair with Moyes' daughter were 'absolute rubbish' and 'not true at all'.
Zaha is considered one of England's top football talents, having moved to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace over the summer.
