Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha appears to have quashed rumours he had an affair with manager David Moyes' daughter, Lauren.
Zaha has not played for United in nearly two months and his absence from the starting line-up has baffled supporters of the Barclays Premier League champions.
He was arguably United's best performer during an unconvincing pre-season and the squad's under-performing wingers have heightened suspicion over his absence from the side, culminating in suggestions he had an affair with his manager's daughter.
However the England international addressed the rumour mongering on Twitter this week.
"Silly rumours," the former Crystal Palace forward tweeted.
Zaha did not even travel to Ukraine for United's 1-1 Champions League draw with Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.
Zaha stood out for United during their pre-season schedule
The 20-year-old scored for United's reserves on Monday and could be in line for a first league appearance at Sunderland on Saturday.
Zaha was Sir Alex Ferguson's last signing as United manager, having signed for the club for £15 million in January before being loaned back to Palace.
