News that Biddy Baxter is to receive a Special Award at this year's Children's BAFTA Awards ceremony will send a warm tickle through the hearts of many an adult brought up on her TV offerings. Although she worked on other programmes since joining the BBC as a producer, it was as Editor of 'Blue Peter' for 26 years that she became a household name.
