Here at HuffPost UK, we think it's high-time a proper, old-fashioned Christmas song topped the festive charts. And while we're still over a week away from finding out who will clinch the prestigious Yuletide number one, we're throwing our weight behind Leona Lewis and her new-single 'One More Sleep'.
The motown-inspired track is currently on the cusp of reaching number one this week, with only a few thousand copies separating the top three songs in the mid-week chart. However, we don't just need her to get her to the top spot this Sunday, we need her to STAY there until the week after.
Leona Lewis
Of course, she'll have some stiff competition from this year's 'X Factor' winner, as they release their debut single following Sunday's grand final.
There's also the Christmas charity single from the cast of 'The Big Reunion', as well as releases from Katy Perry and Lucy Spraggan. And then there's the possibility that Lily Allen's cover of 'Somewhere Only We Know' could cling on to number one all the way until the New Year.
So, dear readers, we are asking you to restore our faith in the annual Christmas chart by helping Leona to number one - the campaign starts here!
