A collection of photos taken between 1925 and 1939 show troops training at Fort Sheridan, Illinois, showing off their riding skills in public horse shows and polo matches.
According to Lake County History, there are over 2,000 photos from Fort Sheridan. The photos have been digitized thanks to a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, and are available online through the Illinois Digital Archives.
