Les Dennis is set to join the cast of 'Coronation Street' after being signed up to play Weatherfield's new troublemaker.
Les - who is best known for hosting 'Family Fortunes' for 15 years - will play petty criminal Michael Rogers.

Speaking about his new acting role, Les said: “I am so thrilled to be joining the cast of Coronation Street. It has always been my favourite TV programme.
“It mixes high drama with some of the best comedy on screen.
“I grew up watching all the amazing characters in the show. I now not only have the chance of meeting them, but also working with them. It doesn’t get better.”
Les - who will start filming on the cobbles on Monday - is no stranger to acting, having also appeared in the Monty Python West End show, 'Spamalot' as King Arthur and alongside Ricky Gervais in 'Extras'..
A 'Corrie' source told the Sun: “Les is perfect for this part. Michael will be a really interesting character and viewers are in for a proper treat.
“Les hasn’t just decided to start acting — he’s really learned the skill by spending a lot of time on stage over the last few years.
“Corrie fans are in for a real treat.”
Show producer Stuart Blackburn said: “Les is a fantastic performer and a real coup for Corrie.
“I can’t wait for him to join the team.”
