Williams F1 To Be Sponsored By Martini: F1's Greatest Liveries (PHOTOS)

LOOK: F1's Greatest Liveries

One of the most famous brands in motorsport will make its return to Formula 1 this year after Williams F1 announced a deal with Martini.

There had been speculation for some months that the iconic white, blue and red colour scheme could be back in F1, confirmed by the British team which revealed that Martini would be the title sponsor, meaning the brand will feature heavily on the Williams FW36 car and the team will be renamed Williams Martini Racing.

However, the full livery will not be unveiled until the opening race of the season, the Australian Grand Prix, in March.

Martini was last seen in F1 as a sponsor for Ferrari between 2006 and 2008 but its logos had a far smaller presence on the cars. The company's golden years in the sport date back to the 1970s when it was first partnered with Tecno, then more successfully with Brabham between 1975 and 1977 and finally with Lotus before focusing attention in other areas of motorsport.

To mark Martini's return, here's our selection of some of the greatest F1 liveries and colours. Let us know yours in the comments below.
