Taking pictures of our food and posting it online: guilty as charged. Who hasn't?
Unfortunately, Michelin-starred French restaurants don't share the same feelings as us, reports News.com.au and chefs are trying to think of ways to ban people from photographing their dishes.
"There’s a time and a place for everything," said Alexandre Gauthier, chef at La Grenouillere in the northern town of La Madelaine-sous-Montreuil who's successfully done the first step to stop customers from whipping out their phones and has put an image of a camera with a strike-through on his menu.
“We are trying to give our clients a break in their lives. For that, you need to turn off your mobile,’’ he said.
While we're all for the occasional phone ban, we can't bring ourselves to extend that to our food - especially when we've parted with a small fortune to eat something that looks like a work of art.
