Cara Delevingne To Make TV Acting Debut

After spending weeks on end jet-setting around the globe to model for the likes of Chanel and Burberry, Cara Delevingne is returning her attention to her budding acting career with a starring role in Sky Arts drama ‘Timeless’.

The 21-year-old model will play a woman whose fiancé is serving in Afghanistan, while veteran actress Sylvia Syms has been cast as Cara’s great grandmother.

Cara will be able to pick up more than a few tips from TV veteran Sylvia, who has been appearing on TV screens for over fifty years.

However, this isn’t the model’s first foray into acting and eagle-eyed fans may remember that the ambitious Brit had a small part in the 2012 film ‘Anna Karenina’.

She also recently completed working on Michael Winterbottom’s feature film ‘The Face Of An Angel’.

‘Timeless’ is part of Sky Arts’ ‘Playhouse’ series of dramas and comedies, which boasts a star-studded cast including ‘Friends’ actor Matthew Perry, Billie Piper and Jo Brand.

Tim Firth, the screenwriter behind the movies ‘Calendar Girls’ and ‘Confessions Of A Shopaholic’, will write and direct the show which is set to air on June 19, 2014.
