Becks has previously admitted that he was so nervous about starring in the skit that he couldn't sleep, telling The Radio Times: “The day of filming started off with a slightly sleepless night, going over my script.”

“The thought of being on set with Nicholas and David was obviously very nerve-racking," he added.

Jim Sullivan, son of the show's original creator, the late John Sullivan, praised the former footballer’s performance, saying: "His acting and delivery were very good. It was lovely to meet him."

Celebs have been out in force raising money for Sport Relief in recent weeks.

Davina McCall completed a gruelling endurance challenge while Breakfast Show presenter Nick Grimshaw took part in a cycling event as part of BBC Radio’s Radio Around The World efforts.

Little Mix have also been getting involved by recording the official Sport Relief charity single, a cover of Cameo’s ‘80s hit ‘Word Up!’

Viewers can see the full ‘Only Fools And Horses’ clip during BBC One’s Sport Relief telethon on Friday 21 March, from 7pm.
