Cheryl Cole was notably absent from the list of stars who turned out to see the 'X Factor' musical 'I Can't Sing' when it premiered in London on Wednesday night.
Despite her much-publicised recent announcement that she was to return to the TV talent show after a three-year break, Cheryl didn't join the likes of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sinitta, who all turned out to show their full support for the show.

Although the singer claimed her no-show was due to being too busy recording her upcoming fourth album, some have speculated it was actually the musical's content that put her off going to its opening.
'I Can't Sing' features a character loosely based on Cheryl called Jordy - a self-absorbed popstar who is seen kissing a statue of her footballer ex-husband and calling everybody "pet" in a North East accent - so frankly if she'd given the excuse of washing her hair we wouldn't have blamed her.
However, 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell, who is also one of the musical's co-producers, clearly doesn't agree, as he told The Sun, "I think she bottled it," before adding that he "loves" the show.
Harry Hill, who wrote the musical, has spoken previously about his 'Jordy' character, saying he didn't want to upset Cheryl with his parody version of her.
'X Factor' presenter Dermot O'Leary - also parodied in the musical as needy TV personality Liam O'Deary - was also absent from the event.
